STOPWATCH / FIRST INSTALL

A fresh start
for your watch.

The Launcher is your home screen, clock, app library and wireless installer. Install it once over USB; future Launcher and app updates can arrive over Wi-Fi.

01. Install the Launcher

Download the USB kit from the StopWatch Launcher page, then extract it. Connect a StopWatch C152 with a USB data cable.

bash burn.sh

In Device Burner, choose 1 · Install Launcher (preserve data). It reuses an existing Python environment and prepares USB tools only if needed. The installer shows exactly which regions it will replace. Full-device backup is a separate optional action: choose 5 · Back up full flash before installing if you want a copy of the original flash. Choosing installation does not automatically create a backup. Review the plan and type the confirmation it requests. USB installation replaces the bootloader, partition table, Launcher A and OTA selection; it preserves app storage and settings. The user has confirmed a successful Launcher update through Marketplace; other hardware behavior still needs targeted acceptance.

Start over or replace an old bootloader

Choose 6 · Erase and reinstall (delete all data) in Device Burner to clear the entire 16 MiB and reinstall the complete system. Options 1 and 6 install the same bundled Launcher. Option 1 preserves settings and app data; option 6 removes Wi-Fi settings, installed apps and all other flash data. It also handles an old bootloader with the same partition table. Review the plan and type ERASE ALL to proceed. The burner reads back the entire erased flash before installing and verifying the Launcher and bootloader. Backup remains a separate optional action.

02. Connect to Wi-Fi

In Device Burner, choose 3 · Wi-Fi profiles, then n to create a profile. Enter the network name and hidden password. The profile is saved privately in local wifi.conf. Select a saved profile to configure the watch over USB, or choose 0 to return and keep it for later. Up to four profiles can be stored; entering an existing network name updates its password.

On the watch, use Wi-Fi → Scan networks to find named 2.4 GHz networks, or Wi-Fi → Saved networks to select one of four saved profiles. Swipe across the scan list, or vertically in its middle, to view more than three networks; Next also advances. Tap a result or saved profile to review signal, security and channel details, then confirm Connect. Unknown networks offer Set up before phone provisioning. To add a network directly, choose Add from phone. Join the temporary network displayed on the watch, open its local address, then sign in with username watch and the PIN shown. Enter a 2.4 GHz network and password.

For the first connection, you can copy wifi.conf.example to wifi.conf before installing. Add --wifi wifi.conf to the installation command. The details are sent to the watch after USB installation and saved in its settings.

03. Make it yours

Swipe to Marketplace. Choose an app, review it, then install. Installed apps appear on your home screen with their own icons. A Launcher update appears in the same collection.

To use a downloaded file, choose Upload in Marketplace. Open the watch’s local address on a phone or computer on the same Wi-Fi and upload a Launcher .bin or an app .swapp.

Your watch, offline

Tap Watch to open the clock. Tap its face to switch between analogue and digital. Swipe down from the top edge for brightness and volume, or up from the bottom edge to return Home. Turn either circular dial to adjust it; tap the volume dial centre to test the sound. Open the Settings home card for timezone and detailed network settings; time synchronizes when Wi-Fi is connected. Wi-Fi is only needed for downloads and network time.

Watch tools

Open Watch, then tap Tools below the clock. Alarms supports four times with selectable repeat weekdays; no days means a one-time alarm. Tap a time to edit it or its indicator to enable or disable it. Stop or Snooze for five minutes when an alarm rings. Alarms require valid time and the device to remain powered on with Launcher or the updated Focus app running; they do not wake a powered-off watch or run inside other apps.

Stopwatch records the latest eight lap splits and totals. Tap the Timer value to set its duration. Focus uses 25-minute work, five-minute breaks and a 15-minute break after four completed sessions, waiting for Start or Next between phases. Built-in timers continue when returning Home or opening other Launcher pages; active runs reset on reboot or launching an independent app. Alarm settings and the chosen countdown duration are saved.

App controls

Swipe left or right to select an app, then tap its large icon or title to open it, or use A to select and B to open. Swipe down from the top edge for the control panel and up from the bottom edge for Home on idle Launcher screens. Hold A for the panel or B for Home; A+B also returns Home. Focus keeps counting while its control panel is open. In Marketplace, swipe horizontally to select releases and advance through pages. Leaving local upload or Wi-Fi setup closes its temporary connection. Settings lets you remove the selected installed app after confirmation.
